I have just rebooted my site. But why has this site been offline for so long? Glad you asked.

At one point, the domain name registration expired. I cannot even remember when exactly. It’s all too long ago. Anyway, I haven’t renewed it on time. After the domain expired, a day later some domain grabber had registered it already. I could have bought it back for only $1.000. At that time, I considered my website was not that important to me. The domain changed hands to other resellers over the years. Earlier this year the domain was unregistered again. So I took the opportunity to get it back. And here we are.

The site runs on an OpenBSD VPS at Hetzner now. It’s a fairly simple relayd(8), httpd(8) and acme-client(1) setup.
